7th Annual Scherrer Cares Golf Outing Raises Over $156,000

Like every year, the Scherrer Cares Golf Outing managed to collect a record-breaking 156,000 US dollars. The annual fundraiser took place on June 10th.

The 7th annual fundraiser took place on June 10th and as in all previous years managed to raise more money than previous events. This year, the fundraiser raised over $156,000, the most money raised in the 7 years that the company has hosted the golf outing. The annual event is held to give back to the community and funds are used to support various community projects. Participants know that the money is always used to help and support many worthwhile causes.

Over 200 golfers attended Scherrer Construction’s 7th Annual Fundraiser, but there were a few others who attended the auction after dinner. Over 50 items were auctioned including vacation trips to Up North and Aruba. There was also an auction for a signed major league jersey by none other than actor Charlie Sheen.

At cocktail hour, the Ball Drop took place, awarding one lucky winner $3,000 in cash. In addition, as every year, the 50/50 raffle was a huge hit, raising $3,875 alone. Another part of the fundraiser was The Power Minute, held to help Paws4People, an organization that raises and trains dogs for people with a variety of disabilities, including children, military veterans and more.

Amazingly, The Power Minute raised $10,000 making it one of the most successful events.
